Athletics isn’t just for the kids
Staying fit and having fun isn’t just for kids. In fact, many adults find it easy and enjoyable to get their workout in while competing and playing sports. The City of Georgetown offers several ways for adults to plug into athletic teams this fall:
The age limit for all sports is 18 and up with the exception of volleyball, which allows 16 and up.
Adult Softball League. Itching to steal some bases? Play baseball for a $325 team fee. Teams can register for six games in one of three divisions: Monday Church Division, Thursday Men’s Open Division, and Friday Coed Division. The league starts October 2nd and runs through November 10th.
Adult Basketball League. Get ready for eight games of full court fun. The basketball league is $330 for a five-person team. Sign up for Monday Men’s Open Division or Wednesday Women’s Open Division. The League starts September 11th and runs through November 3rd.
Adult Volleyball League. Time to dig deep and spike hard! Volleyball leagues have a $275 fee for coed teams of six. The league runs Sundays starting September 10th and ending October 29th. Eight games are offered.
Adult Soccer League. Join the internationally favorite sport for $395 per team. Sign up for Sunday Men’s Open Division or Sunday Coed Division. Eight games are offered from October 1st to November 26th, and the city does its best to make up rained-out games.
