This delicious dessert can be made the night before or the morning of the big night.
8 oz. semi-sweet baker’s chocolate
1¼ cup heavy whipping cream
Zest of one whole orange
1 tsp orange extract
¼ cup sugar
Chop the chocolate into smaller pieces and melt it a in a double boiler.
With an electric mixer, whip the cream, orange zest, and extract on high speed. Slowly add the sugar and whip until stiff.
With the chocolate melted and cooled down for a few minutes, add a spoonful of whipped cream and fold it gently into the chocolate. Don’t mix vigorously as this will let the air out of the whipped cream. Repeat this step few times until you have incorporated all the cream into the chocolate.
Serve the mousse into individual containers and chill for about 2 hours.
