Treat Mom to a fun day on the Square
This Mother’s Day weekend, or any time in May, show your mother how much you appreciate her by planning a fun-filled day on the Square. In addition to shopping, there’s so much to do. Here are a few ideas to help you map out a special day.
Pamper her: Treat your mother to some much-needed R&R with a massage at Novita Spa or a mani-pedi at Beauty Escape Salon and Day Spa. Or razzle-dazzle her with a new hairdo and pretty nails all at Razmataz Salon.
Step back in history: Check out the Williamson Museum’s two featured displays: Uphill Both Ways, about schools in Williamson County, and a photo exhibit of historic sites by local photographer Holly Moore.
Stop for a bite: Can’t decide between breakfast and lunch? Both Wildfire and Eats on 8th dish up a scrumptious brunch. Wildfire offers popular breakfast choices, from pancakes and omelets to mimosas and Maple Leaf Duck Brunch quesadillas. Eats on 8th, with its fresh, farm-to-table menu, serves biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, and grilled trout. Look for their Mother’s Day steak and egg special!
Appreciate the arts: Travel back through time to the age of King Arthur and the Round Table at the Palace Theatre with the Broadway musical Camelot. Or for something a little more low-key, visit the Georgetown Art Center to explore its current gallery exhibit, Stereotypes. Stop in the Georgetown Art Center gift shop to purchase a one-of-a-kind work of art.
Get a treat: End this wonderful day on a high—a sugar high, that is. Sweet Serendipity has gourmet chocolates and cake balls, but if pie is your mom’s thing, skip on down to The Monument Cafe for a slice of chocolate or fruit pie.
